Colin Milam is an associate attorney at BFW. He began his career as an Assistant State Attorney, prosecuting crimes in Miami-Dade County and trying numerous cases to verdict. He then turned his focus to civil litigation, where he obtained diverse experience including representing insurers and self-insureds in personal injury and property damage matters, and private clients in complex commercial matters. Prior to joining BFW, he was a senior associate at a prominent Florida firm. Colin’s practice now focuses on complex commercial litigation and representing persons who have suffered catastrophic life-altering injuries.
Colin graduated with high honors from Florida State University, and with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He spent his final semester of law school participating in an externship with the Honorable Burton Conner of Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal, which created a foundational understanding of appellate practice. Colin uses that understanding to implement strategies throughout litigation and in trial which will withstand appellate review, preventing protracted litigation.
Colin is admitted to practice in Florida and before the District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
