Dave Werner is Counsel at BFW. Dave joins the firm after serving as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Florida. In this role, he led healthcare fraud investigations, whistleblower claims, and administrative claims that recovered millions of dollars on behalf of the government. He also defended the United States across a wide range of cases, including medical malpractice claims and administrative actions.
Prior his role as an AUSA, Dave served as a law clerk to the Honorable Sam Sheldon in the Southern District of Texas. He began his legal career at a boutique plaintiff firm in Miami, where he specialized in personal injury suits, medical malpractice claims, and tobacco litigation.
Dave is admitted to practice in Florida and before the District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
