Dan Humphrey focuses his practice on complex commercial and catastrophic personal injury litigation matters. He advises clients through all phases of litigation, from the assessment of claims and strategy through discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeals.
Before joining BFW, Dan served as a law clerk to the Honorable Lauren F. Louis, United States Magistrate Judge, Southern District of Florida, and the Honorable John D. Couriel, Justice, Florida Supreme Court.
Dan is an alumnus of Fordham Law School and Stetson University. While in law school, Dan served as a research assistant to Dr. Karen Greenberg at the Center on National Security, a non-profit, apolitical think-tank housed at Fordham which focuses on research related to terrorism, cyber-security, and national security. He also competed in trial competitions around the country as a part of Fordham’s Trial Advocacy Program and served as a member of Fordham Law’s Urban Law Journal. Dan is an active alumnus of Stetson University, where he graduated magna cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa honors fraternity. Dan remains an active alumnus of Stetson serving as an advisor to a student organization and on the Board of the University’s Alumni Association.
Dan is licensed to practice in New York and Florida.
